Sex workers, and the art forms and ingenuity they inspire, have and always will be an important presence in queer communities. Club Chrome was invited to takeover Eulogy for the Dyke Bar to honor this legacy.
Club Chrome is Australia's first LGBTQIA+ pole dance collective consisting of queer artists at the intersections of POC and sex worker communities. Their performances push the boundaries of pole dance as an art form, while always referring back to pole’s origins in sex work.
Club Chrome is invested in showcasing art by bodies that are often unrepresented due conventions around race, size, and class. Their performances at Eulogy for the Dyke Bar invited the queer gaze and created a space for overt queer sexual desire and sensual exploration, challenging mainstream pole-dancing culture.
